Not a good day for the JuSTi :(
Well guys as you know i passed my test Tuesday, but last night the inevatable happened
Here's the story.
On my way back home from Bridgend lastnight, i was coming to the B&Q roundabout, i was in the outside lane just about to come across into the inside lane when a clio undertook me. I started to slow down and let him pass but as he was going quite quick he started to drift into me so as i swerved to avoid him i braked and skidded causing me to clip the curb of the roundabout and went straight over it trying to avoid the sign, but didn't. The car wasn't driveable so it had to go on a recovery truck. I'm devastated The total damage is the wheel is buckled, the strut snapped the driveshaft popped out, wishbone is bent and needs a new track rod end. Going to cost roughly 100 quid to put right and i can get the new parts tommorow. The pole of the sign also hit the bumper, drivers side headlight and sidelight causing a bit of damage which i hope can be fixed.? didn't get the numberplate of the car and he also didn't even stop!
But she'll be back soon and better than before
It has put me off driving a bit Nobody was hurt.
Just thought id let you all no anyway.
Ryan

Sorry to hear about your accident Ryan it is never your own driving you need to be careful of it is all the other idiots on the road.
You did nothing wrong at yet this moron caused the accident and then just drove away it makes me furious when this happens but even if you had of reported the accident to the police and the insurance companies they would have said it was "knock for knock".
As has been said before at least it is only your car damaged and not you , as no police were involved and the other driver failed to stop so I would conveniently have a lapse of memory as far as your future insurance renewal is concerned.

Dont give up on driving just yet mate. Get her fixed and put her back on the road and get back in the hot seat.
Everyone has probably had some sort of an accident over the years, you just gotta think its one of those things that can't be helped because it wasn't your fault.
Chin up and get back on the road sooner rather than later.

Gutted for you Ry! There's plenty of tossers like that about. Don't let it dent your confidence too much, just get it fixed and get your *** back in the saddle and put it down to experience.

Sorry to hear his mate. Fact of life you're going to have a couple of knocks in the next couple of years. It doesn't matter how good a driver you are it's the other idiot you need to watch out for.
Roundabouts are a bitch, You'll learn to be extra carefull on them from now on, I did after someone drove in to me on one. I'm very slow round them now and give everyone a wide birth.
Onwards and upwards mate

Nooooooooooooooooooo ooooooo!
Having spent two hours under the car the other day fixing your exhaust I know how you feel about your car. Don't forget it was my fault you bought it.
And having had you drive me round Cardiff I know you weren't the cause of the accident.
If you need a hand Ry give me a ring mate.

Dont worry too much Ry, i crashed my first car 3 times in 3 months and that doesnt include the 1 time someone drove into the back of me or the time i had to crash it on purpose to fix some previous accident damage!
Each time it happened my old man took my keys and i was glad to give them to him, but after a week without my wheels i was itching to get back in and have another crash everytime!!
What i am saying is, you will soon forget it, and look at it like this, at least you are ok

not letting him drive my car then
He's right though, crashing or being crashed in to is just something you have to accept, it's part of driving and it happen's to the best of us.
