Default Knock sensor

Using the car the weekend the check engine light came on when I started it (only for about 20 seconds), error 22 Knock sensor. What does this mean engine problems or a dodgey sensor?

A sensor, Cheap enough to buy from dealer, providing it's a uk car.

A bitch to replace, it's down at the back of engine, you would need to remove the top mount to fit and have a couple of long extention bars to reach it, saying that i did mine on the slip road of the M4, took aout 30 minutes to do, but I didn't have a top mount as was running FMIC

I paid £56 off CVC two years ago for a knock sensor. I know the parts have gone up alot in the last couple of months, I paid £27 for two oil filters the other day from my local dealer.

It might be worth having a chat with Gareth (NWS) he may have a used one going at a reasonable price

What about this : £59?
Subaru Impreza UK Turbo EJ20 Knock Sensor V3 V4

There are a few variants available but all priced at £59. I've bought some service items from these guys and they have been fine with the bits I've bought.

I would try Keith Price in Abergavenny I have bought off them in the past and they are always cheaper than CVC and with a much better service, they also offer a delivery service.

You could also try Indigo-GT as they are members on here, Scooby Parts, Scoobyworld and API

I have had a quick look at the site and I don't think they have one to suit a newage on their site, mind you I could be wrong.
