Wheel Repair / Coating
If I remember correctly there was a mention of a Swansea based wheel repairer , I want to get some damage inflicted on the run over the Black Mountains last weekend repaired plus I want to change the colour on all the wheels to gunmetal.
Basically due to the large brakes on the front (my standard wheels won't fit) I want to drop the complete car off to them and then collect it once finished, if the repairer in Swansea does not do this can you recommend anyone?

Taking the car to APS on Wednesday for an estimate , over the phone estimate is around £230 which includes the colour change to 4 wheels plus the wheel repair.

I have spoken to him and he is having the complete car (my standard wheels do not fit over the front brakes), he will check for buckling, remove the tyres, repair, paint and then refit the wheels back onto the car.

Thanks Simon, I took the car to APS today and he had a good look and the good news is that I am dropping the car off on Monday for him to sort the wheels out.
I decided on a Fiat metallic gunmetal grey which should look fantastic on the car - I am sorry to see the gold colour go but they are too much trouble to keep clean.
I spoke to him about coating the wheels with Poorboys wheel sealant but he said that this won't be necessary as with the layers of lacquer he will be applying the brake dust will not stick onto the wheels. He did say that the matt finish of the gold paint does allow the brake dust to stick but the lacquer finish will allow much easier cleaning.

That sounds like a top job Ty - no more scrubbing brake dust, that's gotta be a bonus on it's own your car and the word "Concours" (if thats how you spell it) will mean the same thing
