Ebbw Vale was a bit of a mission in the truck today. One of our artics got stuck turning around on Cwm Draw ind. estate on the way to the dairy. I used different tactics and managed to get in. The next hour involved a lot of shoveling and unhitching my tractor unit from the trailer to go and pull him out, much to the amusment of passers by. With the assistance of some chains, a bit of patience and the two trucks pulling together we got him out Top of Dowlais was a pain with everybody getting stuck trying to drive up towards Peacocks too. All part of the fun!

I've worked one day this week, coupled with petrol saving costs I'm probably on a winner.

Well I've just come back from Dowlais Top after having a callout for a broken down tractor unit and it is certainly entertaining going up past Peacocks and around the back to the meat processing factory.

Some idiot in an mk4 escort decided that he was a rally star and tried to go around the roundabout sideways but lost the front end and whacked the kerb, what a the muppet he should learn to drive properly.

Coming back down the m4 the snow was coming down heavily around Swansea and it looks like it is heading east, not looking forward to the weekend as I am on call till Monday and have to be in work tomorrow from 6am.

There would've been some serious snow today if it had been cold enough.
