At least someone is interested, cheers Si...

Well, I promised myself I would get my car upto at least a reliable 400+ horses with equal torque this year.

So now it is time to get my 'built' engine upto a power worthy of it!!! After a long wait and saving like bugger for a whole year, I just bought the following...

MD321T
76mm Samco Inlet Pipe
APS TMIC
Simtek ECU (being mapped by Andy F)
RCM Oil Catch Can & Fitting Kit
Carl Davey Billet Aluminium Fuel Rails (parallel fuel rail conversion)
740cc Flow Matched Injectors
Fuelab Fuel Pressure Regulator
K&N Cold Air Induction Kit (MY02-05 CAIK converted to fit GC8)
Carl Davey Inlet & Header Tank Spacers (to keep the inlet free of excess heat)
Zero Sports Cool Action II Intercooler Splitter

Hopefully they should all turn up over the next week ready for fitting and then we are off up to Andy F for a mapping session on the 28th...

Obviously project pics to follow!!!

Well done Richie, sounds like a good package to me

Spot on with the choice of turbo, that will give you 400 plus every day of the week or is it going to be closer to the late 400's

I quite like the look of the AFP4H myself... sounds interesting.

Did you not look at the APS FMIC

Cheers fellas for the comments...

Si, the APS TMIC will be ample for what I want at the moment and if I'm honest the piggy bank is empty!!!

As for power, we will be aiming to achieve whatever we can get!!! Andy F has said 450 BHP/420 FT LBS (ish) with the spec I have got, but I will be more than happy at whatever BHP it gets up to.

Well, I already had the RCM power steering and alternator pulleys so I thought what the hell... I don't think the RCM oil filler cap is gonna make it go any faster mind...

Refurb them is best

I remember you said it was a gamble when you got them first and they have proved themselves, I would treat them to a fresh coat of Red and a service as with the extra horses they may benefit from it.

Funny you should say that, they have just been overhauled!!!

As for getting them done red... I'm not so sure. Reason is because they are black anodised at the moment. Is it possible to get the anodise stripped off and have them red anodised???

Got a pic of them handy Richy as a reminder ?

I'm not sure about the anodised colour change, I'll ask in work tomorrow to see if I can find out for you. The other option would be painting them ?

They sit in there well Richy

I asked yesterday and my mate is not 100% sure about it but he does not think you could re-anodise these into a different colour so you may need to paint them if you want them in red.

Check this thread out that Frayz made a while back....

https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...ck-em-out.html

Maybe that would work well on yours with the Willwood name infilled in white ?

That looks a hell of a car, hopefully when I'm finished with the 22B the attention to detail will be as good...
