Testing the water, Bob Rawle re-map anyone??
Im almost ready to get my cats replaced so a re-map will have to be very close behind. I will probably be taking the car to Bob Rawle, unless anyone else has any ideas, and was wondering if there is enough interest to possibly get a group buy going, if Bob is up for it that is. As said in the title, im just testing the water at the moment to see if its worth making the effort to try and arrange this

Im a couple of quid short at the moment myself and am considering replacing the whole system now after speaking to Charlie again this morning so that adds a little more cost to the whole job for me. I was thinking in a couple of months maybe mid to end of March time but i havnt been able to speak to anyone at BR Developments yet so i havnt even got a ballpark figure on price yet. It seems there will be a few up for it though so at least i will be able to tell Bob that when i do get through. I will try him again this morning, have i got the right number anyone?

I ran a mapping group buy with Bob 18 months ago. Well worth doing for those considering as the results speak for themselves and the day out is quite an experience
Only thing is Bob is so popular i wouldn't be surprised if his is already taking bookings for mid/end April.

It depends on whether i can afford to upgrade the injectors, , fule pump and second decat, plus maybe an induction kit first ( i know! induction ).
I can spare the dollar but dont really want to. Kepp me posted on this Ian. i might well be in for this.

OK, i have had a reply from Bob and he has said that the normal price for a map is £545+Vat.
If we can get 10 people up for it then he will do the map for £485+Vat so lets get a list going and i will contact him again if we get the numbers.
I know some have said they may be up for it but i will let you put your own names down if your sure your in

[quote=evil.soup;7623570]Are you still running a standard turbo?? With the mods you have been doing you will have to get a new turbo to make the most of your money but if the turbo can handle it you will probably see another 30hp if not more at a guess

turbo will be ok for now this will be last power upgrade its quick enough now
as you now from tunnel run
380 -390 bhp will be plenty for wifey to go back and for to work
and to giving them boy racers a chance to catch up

Update on cost.
With a licence the price would normaly be £345+vat but if we get the numbers he will do it for £295+vat.
I spoke to someone at BR Developments today who said that a depost of £150 would be required from each person and we would be looking at about April at the moment to get the maps done as he is booked quite far in advance.
Hope this helps all,
Ian

If its just a little more grunt for the time being, a decent uprated panel filter for about £40, sport cat and de-cat pipes £379 from Prospeed and a re-map should take you to the above mentioned 265-275BHP mark.
If you want more than that, your looking at the above and new injectors, uprated fuel pump, new turbo and probably a larger intercooler to stop everything boiling over. Im guessing about 320 BHP with these mods but im no expert to tell the truth. If im off the mark someone will soon be along to correct my mistakes, but i think the above is about right.
Personally, i wouldnt go all out on power anyway, the standard brakes and springs wouldnt allow you to use the extra power to its full potential. You can make the WRX much quicker A-B by improving the brakes and handling
