I went up with my mate in his jeep and had a punture....bloody military and their disgarded flare remnants! Awesome days rallying (even though i was a bit hungover!) What happened to Peter Lloyd in the last 3 stages? And the Escort Cossie which disappeared a bit earlier? Classic WRC scoobs were looking good!

Dont need to tell me about the weather, on route to Epynt on the A40 I went through mist and abit of rain, and there was me in my shorts and T-shirt thinking it was gonna be nice and sunny.

Well when i got there, it had all changed again and it was bloody roasting, I got anice tan and got to see plenty of nice views for miles around.

It was a good day, lots of up and coming talent especially in the fiesta trophy challenge but also afew of the normal privateers especially a orangy 205 and a vauxhall Nova which I think was putting a few to shame.

I think i took about 180 pics in total but these are a select few of the good ones.

I also saw Chris Garner up there taking part and which i thought was doing well but unfortunately didnt finish the event due to mechanical issue's.

But yes all in all a very good day.

Car problems stopped me venturing up to Epynt on Sunday, but just to cheer me up, spotted this that someone posted this on an Irish rally forum... thought I'd share!

Made me laugh anyway!!!!

Me and Spuddy were talking about it, but we're going to give it a miss this year and stick to kipping in the car for GB.

Next year without a doubt though. Give the Irish round a year to settle down and iron out all the creases! 200000 fans expected, and trying to squeeze them into the lanes is going to be a hard job first time round... there's bound to be canceled stages. Plus according to last weeks autosport, Mr Mcrae might be back in a WRC car next year! (Suzuki??) That'll drag us speccies in!!

We've done that from 2003, but last year was the first (but not last!) 'roughing' it! Great laugh, apart from the mild hurricane we sat through overnight at Trawscoed!!
