Annoying problem
My car has been on axle stands out side the house for about 3 weeks whilst i was sourcing a new gearbox. All was fine got the new gear box ready to go in soon. The cars battery has now gone flat because i stupidly didn't plug the solar charger in. I was lying in bed last night listening to this loud screech every 20 seconds or so thinking i wish someone would shut there stupid noise up and have now realised its my car making the noise. The problem is the battery is now completely flat so that i can't even disarm the alarm with the fob. There is no overide i can see. Obviously cat 1 alarms have battery back up so i am afraid that if i disconnect the battery then the alarm will start going off fully and i won't be able to stop it.
Anyone have any suggestions before the neighbours move in for the kill.

They don't always start going off when you disconnect the battery, i would try disconnecting it first and if the alarm starts going off just reconnect the battery, they usually switch off straight away when you reconnect it. Other than that you could just use a trickle charger and charge the battery in place on the car, assuming you have a drive or garage. You don't want to be trailing cables across the pavement, especially with the "Trip and claim" culture we have today!

Cheers guys . I can't charge the battery because the car is parked across the road and as Taylor mentioned i can't have cables trailing across a road and the pavements. I will have to disconnect the battery later and hope for the best.
