Simple answer is it ran into the back of it! 
No Rear underrun bar! If it is a tipper (car recovery looks like) then it wouldnt have one. I bet the pug? driver saw his life flash before him.
Lucky it went over the top not inside. Very lucky escape i hope.

306 now looks nicely lowered though! Mind you... possibly too low, plus I think the handling might be affected having a flatbed van attached out front.

When did this happen?
I am now glad we were very late in leaving in the Transit van today, didn't hit Wales until about 5:30
