Hello.
Evenings.
Just came across this site and thought I would say Hi.
I live near Swansea and own a 96 GTB (legacy).
Some good reading on this site - plenty of techincal info that goes straight over my head!.
Looking for some good advice on garage's around here good with our engines / cars.
I dont mind traveling for the right place?
Who do you use?

Hello Bobby and welcome to the site.
When most of the boys come on they would probably recommend Andy at Ace Motorsport in Newbridge. Most use him for general garage needs and services etc.

I'm Carmarthenshire too.....live near Ammanford and work in Llanelli.
What colour etc is your Legacy? I'll give you a wave if I see you about!

Hi, I live near llandysul and drive a very loud DBM classic.
You could use DRJ in Johnstown for the simple things Ie: intermitent services but I'd use a specialist for the big things, ie Cambelt etc
pop along to the next meet

Hi 
I can highly recommend ACE Motorsport in Newbridge (Just outside newport).
Andy is an Ex-Prodrive mechanic and really knows his stuff and his prices are very reasonable.
He's fitting a 6 speed box, new clutch/flywheel and doing a major service for me on wednesday.

Wow guys, what a welcome.......gone a day and 18 posts!.
Nice to know that so many of you live around here.
Defo be up a meet around here.
I am in Ammanford as well - scary!.
We have a White Legacy GTB & love it as well as passing plenty of GREAT looking Subaru's around here.
I work in Swansea and travel the M4 a lot.
Lots of great suggestions for places to go, seems the general feels are to go and see ACE. We had a new cam belt fitted a couple of months ago and since then the car has just not felt the same. The Garage were fantastic and took the car back in to confirm the timing was correct and initially they thought the LH cam (facing the engine) looking a tooth out, but once manually lined up it only looked very slightly out. (did all this with me present)
Bar the power (Still not slow) the car idles fine etc but I think it is time to go and see someone who knows a lot about these cars. - As you can prob tell I am no drive way mechanic!...
SO....... before I go spending loads of cash on things that may not be the prob best to seek a second opinion for my own benifit.
I will read up on the other threads or post in the tech section but thanks for all the details of garages and I will keep my eye out for other Subaru' out and about and hopefully one of you will see me...

Has your car got privacy glass m8?
Was it you that passed me on the M4 about a month ago, 8.30 ish in the morning?
Mine's a wr blue WRX with STi alloys and privacy glass, reg. ending DW.

Sure was me....Remember it well, that is a very clean Imp you have 
Ours is the complete JDM package, rear Priv and Gold OZ's. Love it!.
