Hi all

As most of you are aware i am waiting for my White 04 JDM STI to arrive from Litchfields.

Anyway went to litchfields today to see the beast and tie up the paperwork with Iain.

It is MINT and i fell in love staight away

The only thing i was dissapointed about was it did not have DCCD
but after thinking about it, i would probably only drive with it on Auto most of the time anyway.

So to cosole myself i dicided to go for the Type20 upgrade:

12 point AST suspention
Handling pack (adjustable rollbars and Whitline antidive)
Miltek Exhaust
Uprated Boost control solenoid
Performance Air Filter
Braided brakelines

as well as all the other JDM goodies

so did not turn out so bad after all

Should be with me just in time for this months meet

one other thing is i bought a single din psi3 vfd data monitor a few weeks ago, but my new car has a double din stereo. Is it easy to convert to a single din stereo? or is there other options?

Cheers
Julian

Ah, a visit to the Holy Grail of JDM imports

Good Luck with the car fella, you sound well wound up for it

Surprised your car didn't have DCCD, especially being an MY04 model. But, as you said, auto most of the time so what the hell.

I haven't been to Litcho's for a while. Anything nice sitting there?

Hi sam

Iain had a huge smile while telling me how fast it was and how he was reluctant to give the boys from Jap performance mag ago, because it was so good he did not want t get out.

I'm surprised it hasn't got Dccd but it ain't the end of the world, the handerling package you've gone for more than makes up for it.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this, I bet you can't wait? it should be a right rocket.

Don't worry about the double din, It's a peice of p!ss to sort out

there are two types of standard jdm sti's, GL models that have all the trimmings and another which name escapes me that misses out on one or two things like the DCCD.

Either way it will be a great car and speaking from experience i know the added mods just make it better.

If you want a hand coverting the double din give me a shout - might even be able to fit the splitter at the same time if you want Jules?

Hi Rob. I thought Si said you had one

Thats good then as i was thinking of getting one via a GB, and did not want to be seen as copying you all the time.

I will pm VC then.

Also have you got any Brake upgrades on you JDM?

Cheers Mate

I was wondering if Brembo's are up to the job on stopping a 350bhp car?

or do i need to upgrade?

I have had Braided brake lines fitted, is this enough

standard brakes have been fine up until now. Will be changing the front set-up shortly though as i got hold of ferodo pads and lines.

I thought about an AP set-up for a while but decided to invest elsewhere in the end.
