Euro Car Parts Fuchs Titan Supersyn SL 5W40. Made by Silkolene, sold for twice the price by Oilman. 86 quid for 25 litre drum, enough for 5+ drops (4.5l a time) making it about 16 quid a go. Many of the WYIOC now use this as I keep a supply and they all dip in for a 5l bottle whenever they need it.

Go no thinner than 5W, 10W is OK if you're running up to 300bhp and occasionally track, 15W for 300+ and regular track. 40 or 50 grade is fine, no thinner or thicker. I always find that 5W40 gets up to temperature quickly and the car runs very smoothly. Be wary of cheap synth's as they are often mineral oils with synthetic addatives, the addatives giving them the right to call it synth when really it isn't.

NO!!!
Don't ever use engine flush. It dislodges all sorts of crap that if not caught up in the outflow of the old oil will then transport itself around the engine with the new oil, blocking all sorts of filters, gauzes and oilways. Just drop as you normally would and ensure you prime the filter.
