Detailing my Impreza
Can anyone give me some tips please, I got a dark metallic blue Impreza, fortunately she was cared for mechanically but when washed she was shoved through those damn brush washes and I have alot of circular scratches, so far Ive used Tcut dark blue followed by colour magic dark blue, its alittle better, but I want it gleaming with no visable surface scratches, anybody help, with what to buy for a good detailing job, where to buy it and roughly how much, cheers peeps (in advance for your help)
Ps you can see the motor on my zoints profile, I managed to upload on that cant seem to put it on this site, not good with computers, Im a chippy. lol

Arh another chippy, with a DBM you do know DBM is the fastest colour
I'm not one for washing mine, in fact I hate washing the bloody thing. Your best bet would be to either have a good chat with Silver Scooby Sport who's car so clean you could eat your dinner of it or to have a look on here under the car care section, they'll be able to answer all of your questions

Sweet the wifes got plenty of that, I'll get her on the job (detailing the new lady in my life, that is), I'll get the auto glym out and set her to work immediately.
Try to get her looking good for the next meet, the wife will be haggard though

As for the T-Cut i dont think this accually takes the swirls out, i may be wrong but i think there are fillers in it,which make it look good for a while and then they re-appear.

Yes Scud that's correct... Rich advised the Blackfire for a deep wet look on my DBM colour
All by hand and it was hard work, I had been using Swissol but when I changed over to Blackfire the first deep clean was a tough one...
1. Wash
2. Claybar
3. Wash
4. Blackfire Polish
5. Blackfire Glaze
Now it's not so bad but I have found that it is much more effective to give it a Polish and a Glaze when I want to clean it, I treat it like a 2 pack polish everytime now and not build the Glaze up as one coat.
I've got swirls from before which hand cleaning simply will not touch, they are masked well but I know where they all are.
I must admit that I would like a machine clean at some point but I'll not be going to all the expence of buying a PC as I think I would sooner pay for a one off machine clean and have done with it.
Just dropped a few pics on for you Russ as our colours are very similar.
