Default Pembrey Trackday Video

Well Friday was fun, Pembrey is a great circuit - I will let the video speak for itself!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lO6sKUVoCHg

I know you guys have a trackday /show event there in June - so what were the real costs:

Trackday - £169 with evo active/heritage - well organised, very knowledgable and helpful staff.

Insurance - £100 (£1400 excess!) with MORIS

Optimax (just for the track) - £70 (thats for 2hrs 20/98 miles total track time/distance) - yes... that is about 3/4 of a tank for a half day - or in other words around 10mpg!

Tyres - about 2mm used (but it was wet, if dry much much more) I chose my Michelin Pilot Sports as the forecast was wet, and they were perfect in those conditions. In the dry they got very hot after 5/6 laps and became a little squirmy (RE070's stand up much better), and you end up with snotty tyres like this:

The many thousand smiles, laughs and coming home unscathed - Priceless!

If you own one of these cars its a must, its safe and you will learn so much about your car on a circuit that has everything.

Have fun,

Mark

ooohhh yes it is awesome - the 2 guys in the Loti (is that the plural of Lotus?) were just great - we laughed all day!

We got over 1hr 30 of good footage and however it looks the car was often right on the edge - we took the rumble strips a few times (very slippy!) and got told off for undertaking into hatchets (Brembo's, braided hoses, Pagid pads and grooved discs work very well!) so had to calm down after that!
