Anyone know this car?
Hi guys,
went to see a V reg classic at a garage called PDP Motor Company in Caerphilly for a mate. Turned out to be an absolute dog, bonnet wouldn't open, when I opened the back doors they droped slightly and the front seats have a piece of cream leather sewn onto them on the front of the base.
Its in DBM with the reg V631 VJO. It also doesn't too straight but the guy swears that its never been in an accident.
If anyone knows of a decent classic, MY99/00, let me know please
Cheers guys

Was it blue, with huge stone chip in bonnet, blim burns on seats, scuffed door handles, badly fitting cheap stereo but loads of aftermarket wiring in the boot for a sub and all that? Mileage on 106k but history only to 83k or so. Phat rattley zorst, bad panel gaps.
He was asking around 6500?
I looked at that one and told the guy you've got to be f***ing kidding. Even for 4k as a hillclimb car its overpriced. Its been thrashed, abused and possibly smashed and fixed on the sly.
Just keep an eye on Keith Prices in Crickhowell, they get classic trade-ins every now and again. Is where I got mine, and its been babied.

Thats the one mate, thought the doors were going to fall off in my hand. £6500 was the asking price, he's got two hopes of getting that. My mate bought a Clio 16v from there a few years ago and had enless problems with it.
Cheers for the info on Keith Prices

Yeah, avoid that garage like the plague. The guy was saying "well thats just the nature of the cars they are, its a 7 yr old car, you've gotta expect it to be a bit lived in".
I turned around and pointed at my old MR2 I'd turned up in and said "ok, thats a 20yr old car on a E plate which is virtually mint and in a helluva better state than that Impreza your selling".
Some cars get looked after, some cars don't. Discerning buyers can tell.
No worries. Keith Prices won't be cheap but you're likely to find well-looked after classics with 1 owner, full dealer history from themselves who have been the only people to ever touch the car. And a 12 month warranty.

Me and the g/f went to see this and i was very dissapionted,6.5k for a motor with 100k+ miles put me off straight away. Then there were the *** burns in the seats.
Come to think of it he had this up for more than 6.5k, im sure it was 6995, it was advertised in the trader for 6.5k, but he said he could do it for 6.6k with the 12 month warrenty..............yea right.
Stay from it

Matscooby, are you the fella with the RB5 in Newport with the ad thats been up on Pistonheads for last few months?
I nearly phoned you about that but it was out of my range. Now I see the price has dropped, I could have bought it after all.
Was a nice looker as I remember from when the pics worked.
