Where abouts did this take place?

 

Outside the Bear Hotel in Cowbridge at about 4pm.

 

Cowbridge is normally a good place to visit, the other half was at the Bear last night, no problems.

 

Yes, it is a nice place. I think they were staying at the hotel, I haven't seen them around before.

 

f###ing hell rich you did the right thing id of battered the bloke just for knowing the bitch she was pissed i take it.is it bad,i would see if you could get compo from the taxi company.you may want to report it to the plod aswell just incase your car gets done over in the future these gutless w##kers are like that there slash your tyres scratch your car alsorts.

Tell me about it! Problem is I've been in trouble for rucking before so can't "batter at will"

I've phoned the taxi company and told them I'm expecting them to cough up for the repairs because the driver drove off without giving me the opportunity to exchange details.

The dent isn't huge but other than the one on bonnet, it's the worse one on the car. It'll definately need a professional to get it out though.

 

i hate people with no respect for other peoples property its not fair.

sorry to hear this richie - saw you today as well on western ave - beeped but had gone past you by the time i knew it was you.

I had a similar thing in halfords the other week. Guy was parking next to mine in a very tight space so i jumped in, fired the engine up and as i was pulling out he just pushed the door right into my wing. I did exactly the same as you - jumped out and ended up toe to toe with the w*nker as he didn't even say sorry. Don't ask me how but he didn't dent/mark the car even though it made a hell of a bang. it ended with him just walking off to halfords so i left him with a memento of the occasion and got out of their as well!

Some good news people.

The owner of the taxi company phoned me back this evening and confirmed which taxi it was and that he had a female passenger.

The driver reckons he drove off without realising anything was going on other than me rowing with a bloke next to the taxi. However when I told him that I spoke to the woman in the back through the window and she gave me the V's and told me to f*ck off, he told me to get the dent repaired and to send him the bill.

He's going to take it out the guys wages because he doesn't want it to go through the police or insurance.

I feel better about the car now but am still pi55ed off about the punch in the face...

Rob - I noticed a blue Impreza as you beeped (didn't realise it was you though). The fracas occurred about 1/2 hour after that, I was on my way back to Cowbridge when you saw me at the lights.

 

Get a few quotes for it to be done then present these to the Taxi co. they "might" give you the cash. Then just get along to the Group dent removal and pocket the change.

Thats of course you hadn`t thought of that yourself.

Rich I am positively tamping reading these. Glad you gave him one in the face. Lots of advice already given. Is there CCTV outside the Bear or the shop? Also have you tried the Hotel to see who it was? In the last resort see the Police if the don't taxi firm doesn't pay up. Hopefully it can be magic'ed out. Grrrrrr.
