hill climb type event!
ok then boys
i will put money where my
mouth is and put up £100 and a trophy
for the quickest subaru car of the day.
i suggert a hill climb type of event ie: the fastest to the top of the hill.
i have already contacted dilwyn and we are looking for a date in august
on a sunday and camp out there on saturday with a barbeque
i will need 50 plus cars to take part.
and i will start a new thread when we have enough interest.

As i said last night chris, i will also put up a prize. but it would be nice to keep it an all subaru affair? otherwise we run the risk of the scoobynetters not having the good day that we had intended.

owch! im sure you know thats not how i meant it! that would be fine by me, i can bring the westfield, or 6R4? but lets make it a subaru event, bring the escort, do some demo runs, show them how its done??? 
im not trying to be controversial here, just trying to propose a day out for subaru drivers as an alternative to the mid wales runs. very sorry if i offended anyone!

Dingy don't be put off, it would be good to bring it along so we can all have a look, don't underestimate the level of respect that people have for mk2 escorts, remember, a lot of us bought scoobies for their rallying heritage!

Don't associate all of us with that kind of sweeping statement, if you read what you said I believe you were being a little brash to Rhydian, who was making a fair point in a perfectly nice way. I happen to think it would be great to see some real rally cars there, but to suggest competing in a 500bhp per tonne escort against a standard or otherwise scoob was a little overkill! I suggest you read what people say before over reacting.
And for the record, let's keep this civilised scrappy's there was no real need for that. Let's keep it simple and to the point guys.

ok, before things get out of hand here, when i spoke to chris last night about this, what i had in mind was a day for subaru drivers to have a bit of a crack, make it a bit of a competition, prize, a barbie bit of a party atmosphere. im certainly not trying to be eletest here, if we open this to all machinery we might as well just attend one of the many hillclimb or sprint events regularly held accross the uk, and let it dwindle into insignifigance. what i proposed, possibly being nieve in thinking that it would be popular amongst the scoobynet fraterninty, was a class for Turbo and a class for non turbo subaru`s.. please correct me if im wrong?

Intesting thread...some children are registered it seems!
I've been on this BBS for over 5 years now and in the beginning, it was a Subaru forum....For me, the day should be for Scoob drivers.

I apologise for speaking out of turn, i'd just come off my fourth 12 hour night shift, was a bit tired and crabby and should just bitten my tongue.
I really should have said there was no need for dingy to get all arsey with S55DRJ, as he was just asking a simple question, and there was no reason for any toys to get thrown out of the pram.

I would also love to see dingy and Rhyidian bring their rally cars along, I love 6r4's and escorts etc as it would be nice to have them there, even if only on show! Put me down as a definite, it's potentially one of the best ideas I have seen on scoobynet to date!! (as long as there is nothing for me to hit if I make a *****-up of it!!)
