Police took a dislike to my plate !
Had a nice little run in today with a police man in one of those feeble volvo's.
Apparently my number plate is somewhat illegal.
He had followed me for 3 miles. It was only when i pulled into Asda car park that he put his blue lights on and pulled right across the back of the car.
Started with the usual question:- 'Is this your car ?'
Would i have stopped if it wasnt ?
Then he started to have a right rant about the number plate and how it was very illegal, and, to say he didnt like my comment about not being able to catch me with speed cameras would be an understatement. He flipped and asked me to sit in the car and started showing me the highway code and the correct measurements and spacings on a number plate.
I thought i was in for a nice fine and slapped wrist. He actually started writing me a ticket but was quickly reminded by his colleague that we were in a private car park and not the public highway so the ticket was meaningless !!!! spot on fella... cant fault it one bit.........
Straight into Asda and bought me some double sided tape and put the big plate back on.
Who was waiting just outside KFC for me ? PC PLOD....
Maybe next time copper...................
Thats twice now.. Thinking i wont be lucky a third time
I would put a pic of the plate up but i havent got a clue how to post pics..... Anyone know how ?

Your very lucky as the law states that any car that is deemed to have accessed private land and has means and probable intent to leave the said piece of land can and will be prosectued. Double so becasue they had two police witnesses that saw you breaking the plate law on public ground.
So nice one lol!
Police localy useally just tell you that the numberplate is dodgy and nothing more, the other ones will try and send you down for life!
