Even though we were at full chat going across the moors etc., I reckon I still got approx. 22mpg. However I was so chilled out on the mway back that I reckon I was getting close to 38mpg (sub 3000rpm at all times) so all in all the day cost me about 31 notes*. A few years ago I paid about 120 squid for a track introductory course at Pembrey and I know which one was better VFM. So the mwr is cheaper, more enjoyable, involved better company and taught me more about car handling than the track course. And there are less rules to obey. Roll on mwr10 or swr or nwr or whatever but don't pray for dry roads as it spoils the fun.

Mike you're promoted to Squadron Leader.

Chocks away

*ave mpg at fill-up this week = 24.9

Cost me a bit, apart from the fuel and the tyres (had to put my fronts to the rear as the shoulders were worn clean off) I've got a guy coming round on Monday to sort out a large stonechip. My fault for following Lee too close through the lanes.
