I'll be getting my new car on the weekend with tints. Its a runabout to the evo so guess what it is? ????

Just having a 6 paddle clutch with an alloy light flywheel installed on da beast so it should transfer the power to the wheels better when it comes back. mooohaahaahaa!!!

BTW im up for it guys, you knows it. The evo should be done by then.

Jono

Sammy, did you drop the transmission then on dans car in order to replace the clutch.? I guess you must have. How long did that take ya. I would hav had you do it but mitsi had already dropped the box and wanted to charge me for putting it back. Anyway, i thought our danny was selling his motor?? What gives, change of heart eh??

You will never bring someone from the darkside to scoobyvile. Once you get a taste you will never go back. lol!!!

Didnt go too light on the flywheel. Dont want to loose my lowdown torque. Dont worry it should be just right. The acceleration should be well improved now. Got recommended/supplied a Fidanza alloy one by someone who knows their clutches on the MLR. Richy has got an Alcon on his VI with a Jun ultralightweight flywheel and he says it really pulls hard in every gear without spongyness or slip, So i should be launching everywhere methinks. lol!!! Might be abit of a struggle in traffic but i will live with it. Its the best compromise atm, besides if Mr M3 man pulls up at the traffic lights he doesnt stand a chance in hell.

Oh yeh the runabout.

Nope its not a saxo you cheeky monkey lol!!! Ive ordered a brand new Civic type R. Cant wait. Its abit of a beast to with 0-62 coming up in 6.5 secs and 200ps all with a weight of just over 1200kg. Should be abit of a stormer and catch one or two scoobies out if they blink.

Huh!! Sports my ar$e I was thinking more along the lines of--- well here's a few figures:-

CAR:----------------WEIGHT:-----POWER/WEIGHT:

Civic Type R ---------1206kg------166 Bhp/ton

Subaru WRX----------1385kg------158 bhp/ton
Vauxhall VX220--------875kg-------168 bhp/ton
Subaru classic--------1235kg-------177 bhp/ton
Sierra RS Cosworth----1267kg-------174 bhp/ton
Porsche boxster -------1260kg------175 bhp/ton

Pretty impressive figure for a front wheel Hot hatch eh??

So it should keep up if not beat these cars in a straight line over a distance as there is no transmission loss (as is with the Awd), couple that with the improved mid range for the 2004 type R and maybe a few Spoon modifications to follow suit and it should be a formidable weapon. hehe!!!

Sierra RS Cosworth----1267kg-------174 bhp/ton - Don't be silly

Question

Har har!! thats why alot of evo owners get them as their 2nd cars eh samm? You wont find better bang for ya buck mate

Let me get this right, id beat the porsche with 175 bhp/ton but not the cosworth (174bhp/ton) or the VX220 (168 bhp/ton) ???? Dont make sense unless of coarse you are bias to begin with. Lol!!! I could always stick a 2.2 spoon engine in and be done with them all and your STI included

>>Its a nice car but - the sort of car i'd buy for my wife <<<

Lol!! I wouldnt even consider buying one for your wife if i were you especially after the mess she made of your alloys :P

scrappy,

Your car was at the back of the rear parking/storage bay, looking decidedly untouched - although to be fair i got no idea what had been done under the bonnet - see you all on saturday??
