hi gang
as a few of you know from our trip to g-force
i was less than happy with my ppp!!!
anyway after going back to cvc and letting them
know myself and cvc contacted mike wood at prodrive.
while talking to him on the phone i mentioned i would
be at the subaru day at castle combe....he said bring
along the car and he would look at the ecu with his
laptop.......so on the day i was due to go i decided
not to.....and had an excellent day driving all sorts
of things over all sorts of surfaces (except the grass)
while having lunch i spoke to tom...a guy from subaru assured
and told him the story....he mentioned it to mike wood
and told me to bring the car back the following day (yesterday)
i did so and enjoyed another free lunch and mike did the
computer thingy to my car..
he said it might be lumpy for the journey home while
the ecu learns what it had just been tought by the computer
it turns out i have now have the latest remap spec...
what ever that is.....so beware on the next mid wales run...
i would like to say a big thank you to cvc and mike wood of prodrive for sorting out my car..and also for a great day(s) at
castle combe
andy

Andy,

Did Mike say what the problem was? I'm assuming the car performs as it should now - where are the differences in performance ?

Glad you got it sorted

hi gang
it would appear that the new remap is working fine
been out doing a few miles in the car and it pulls
like f&&k now!!!
it also feels a lot smoother
gareth.........mike said it was something to
do with the ecu reading the engine temperture
and restricting the boost.....now that is sorted
it is pulling all the way to the red line!!
only down side this new remap resticts the top
speed to 155 mph.......i am really going to miss that
extra 2 mph......lol
going out now for some more grin factor
