Question

...but what exactly goes on on the Mid Wales runs?

Fairly obviously a whole group of Scooby nuttahs get together and go for a drive around Wales, but I was wondering, is it a leisurely drive, or do the turbo owners exploit the BHP a little more?

More to the point, if I end up getting a Sport (as I hope to soon), would I be left behind if I tagged along?
Do you stop for lunch etc?

Anyway, tentatively interested

Hi Mike, Me and My hubby Dude have a sport and we went on the last one and we kept up with all the Turbo's, obviously they got a bit of a headstart but apart from that we managed to catch them up quickly and it was ACE!!!
I definately recommend you come along on the next one.
Yes it is a leisurely run round Wales and as you see from my pics posted by hubby Dude, it is gorgeous!!

Am very tempted. Just have to get the car now. May look a tad out of place turning up in an M reg Cavalier

Still on the plus side, a nice lady at Egg said she'd give me a loan today, so this time next week I should have the money. Wonder if foot_tapper's still selling his sport?

Cool

I had this nightmare image in my head of getting to a deserted road in the darkest depths of mid wales, at which point the turbos boot it and disappear off into the distance

Mark? Do you mean Mike?

I have about 4k to spend, so am looking at around 97/98 P/R reg, hopefully with under 80k miles on the clock.

There aren't many about though

How long do sports last?
E.g. if I pick up one with 80k miles on it, is it still gonna feel nice and tight and be reliable?
