Taking the family to Crickhowell for lunch tomorrow but want to take in some fabulous roads with breathtaking scenery on the way. I will be departing Cardiff (A470). If I remember right the B4560 to Llangynidr is good but has anyone got any other suggestions. I know the A4059 to Brecon reservoir is good but may be too far out of the way.

The A4069 Brynamman to Llangadog was classified as "the best road in Wales" on WCT3 last year!

Have to agree, did that road on the New Years meet organised by Ceri and it was superb.

Excellent thread guys, I've got a whole week of strange hours to keep, so will be looking for entertainment of the twisty road variety, any more suggestions my hire car is begging for it ?

I'll post back my findings before I go home
