New Toucan Touchscreen display firmware available
A new version of Toucan firmware is available for download from the JTi website.
This release fixes an issue relating to alarm muting, mainly when the option to mute alarms when the engine's not running has been selected. In some cases this meant genuine alarms that should have sounded the warning buzzer were being missed.
It is recommended that you upgrade your Toucan to this version - the software tool for this, and instructions, are also available from the website.
If you have any questions, please ask

Toucan is £329.99, and a sensor pack and loom comprising oil pressure, fuel pressure, oil temp and air inlet temp using a neat loom is £234.99. If you already have an air inlet sensor (and AlcaTek - Simtek as was - installs usually do) you can get individual sensors and leads rather than one single loom. Prices all plus delivery and VAT.
Take a look at the website and you'll see the options available to you.
And I'm always happy to semi-customise the looms and/or sensor pack to suit your needs - drop me a PM or email, or give me a call during the day on 01425 465113.
Fitting is reasonably straight forward with many customers doing this themselves, or you can get your preferred specialist to do it for you.
Hope this helps - let me know if you need more information

It will display Lambda (which is the "scientific" measure of AFR - I will be adding an option to display in AFR later this year) assuming you have a lambda sensor connected to your AlcaTek (simtek) ecu.
Unlike Syvecs, the AlcaTek ecu can't take a direct plug-in lambda sensor, but it can connect to a number of external lambda setups such as Innovate or AEM and take the data in. It can then make use of the data for closed loop lambda control, meaning your mapper can achieve much more accurate AFR on boost.
Hope that helps - have PM'd re: fitting but basically fitting Toucan it is very easy if you're confident with basic vehicle electrics etc. The installation instructions are available on the website, so take a look and form your own opinion.
Fitting sensors is also straightforward but can be time consuming as you really need to remove the TMIC to access the blanking plug above cylinder 3 for oil temp, and also the alternator for oil pressure.
