Question Header Tanks

What do you think on Cnc'd header tanks? Just looking at mine..... it can be done

Obviously dependant upon price, but I've boon looking at doing something with mine to tidy it up as I just cannot afford a forge/spec r one.

Jon, I believe forge/spec r are £140-£160, I would aim to do them much cheaper with no horrible welding

That's about right and the alternative is to buy a second hand alloy one and polish/paint it which comes in at about £50/60, so somewhere in between that would be ideal (closer to the refurb price would be even better)

It's the coolant tank bolted onto the side on the inlet manifold, just above the turbo

Definitely . as subaru dont sell the gasket on its own for the metal tanks.
ive been trying to find a gasket for two weeks no joy .
so a nice one piece one will be great

Unless CDF have some top secret Cutter at there disposal, i dont think a one piece billet Header tank is achievable, if they aint welded they have to use bolts.. nicee stainless or anodised ones

Thanks Chris, much appreciated. Only just caught up on this thread so I presume the Interlink card I've come home to is your parcel....

I'll arrange for a redelivery and will confirm receipt once I've got them.

I'm following this thread now as I am keen to see what comes about - would be very keen if the design/price was right.
