Default Impreza steel rod sets - £279 Trade enquiries welcome.

We have been buying rods and cranks for a wide range of cars from a supplier in the far East. We have been dealing with them for some time now. This is a large scale manufacturer who produce rods and forged cranks for a range of big brand name companies. Contractual agreements prevent them from stating outright who they manufacture for but they even use the same part numbers as some of the branded companies so its not hard to see who they deal with. I dont want to upset the applecart with these big brands so Im not going to start shouting names as no doubt theyd be straight onto the factory and my account would get shut down in the blink of an eye.

Im very much small fry in comparison to their main stay business but they have still treated me with the upmost respect and have proven to be a very reliable supplier with a superb range of products.

We have sold hundreds of sets of these rods over the years and havent had one single come back or complaint. We run them in some of our own cars and indeed have just collected our Classic STi6 from Zen Performance. Paul has rebuilt our engine based round a 2.5 block, Cosworth baffle plate, baffled sump, Mahle forged pistons and a set of our rods. Paul was happy to use the rods in the engine built by himself and therefore associated with his name. If he didnt feel they were up to the job then he wouldnt have installed them.

We havent been pushing sales of these rods and cranks hard but we already have some of the biggest and most respected tuners in the Uk purchasing and using the products in engines built by themselves. These tuners evidently have the utmost faith in the products, as do ourselves.

The rods come complete with ARP2000 bolts and retail at just £279 a set.

At that price margins are tight but we can offer reasonable trade discount to any traders that might want to use them, give us a shout, see if it would be of interest.

We also have stock of rods for Evos, Skylines, S13, S14 and MR2/Celica. All 4 cylinder rods are £279, 6 cylinder are 50% more expensive.

We can also supply a wide range of forged and billet cranks in both standard and stroked formats if they might be of interest.

150bhp per rod but to be honest such ratings are a little nonsensical as its RPM that a rod killer. We have personally run these rods in cars running a genuine 8k+ rpm. Thats not 8k rpm on the rev counter which over read as bad, if not worse, than a speedo. Thats a genuine 8k rpm.

The engien was later stripped and the rods inspected. No sign of wear, damage, nothing. The rods were sent off to Ken Coleman, the guy who built our Skylines full on race engine. He has customers sending him V8s from all over Erope, he knows his beans. Anyway, the rods, crank, clutch, front crank pulley and pistons were sent to him for balancing and checking. The rods were amazing well balanced and didnt need touching. the pistons (Wiseco) also came out within tolorance but with a much larger weight difference than with the rods.

Ill get some more info on the cranks. I only mention them as we dont have stock of Impreza cranks at the mo, its just something that we will be offering in the future. We had a batch of Evo stroker cranks come through and one of the big names in the UK tuning world took the whole lot of them, every single one.

Theyve also just taken all remaining stock of Evo rods.

Any Pics of the rods?

Do you have a cost on a 2.1 stroker kit?
