Latest Drive by Wire Turbo - results so far.
We have now installed and dyno tested the latest turbo for the DBW 2.5 Sti.
The Enginetuner GT30 Hybrid is used along with headers and exhaust, 800cc injectors and mapping by Martyn using EcuTek. This has produced a very conservative 410/410 on only 1.4 bar peak boost. We don't want any more from the standard motor! The drive is sensational, perfectly smooth with no appreciable increase in lag, and very relaxing to drive on a very light throttle, pulling strongly from low revs. We have big plans for this car, including an all forged Cosworth, with the latest SimTek DBW ECU.
Turbo and car pictured on Alan Jeffery - Engine Tuner in the Gallery section, page 14 and 15.
