*** 2010 Trackday Calendar ***
You have the car so why not join other club members on track this year
The Club working with our very own John Stewart, Track-masters. Mark Stevens aka Stormy and MLR's Darin Frow have created track day calendar offering a stunning number of venue options.Here is the 2010 SIDC trackday calendar with prices.
We expect to add further dates including a full program at KnockHill over the coming weeks
ALL SIDC TRACKDAYS FEATURE;
- "Open Pit Lane" format (no sessions) so you can come and go as you please
- Free professional tuition from our usual team of instructors
- Full tyre support from Protyre
- Trackside photography from Xtreme Sports Photography
- PDF information pack emailed to you prior to the trackday
REQUIREMENTS:
To take part in any SIDC trackday the following is compulsory;
- all drivers and passengers must wear a helmet (open or full face) on track
- all drivers and passengers must wear clothing to cover your arms and legs preferably in a natural materials on track (a race suit is not compulsory)
- all drivers must bring their DVLA driving licence and photo card to show at Registration
- car must pass a static noise check (where applicable)
- all drivers must have a briefing and take part in sighting laps
NOISE LIMITS:
I expect noise limits at all venues will be enforced initially as a static test at 105dBA except Castle Combe which is 100dBA (just as in 2009), but if any of these change I’ll make everyone aware asap or posted on the specific thread
TRACKDAY INSURANCE:
SIDC Members who insure through Keith Michaels should speak to Gary before the event to make sure they are sufficiently covered
Track insurance will be available through Pace Ward prior to the day and on the day. For a quote please call Pace Ward on 01782 286311
GARAGES:
Garages are free and available on a first come first served basis at Brands Hatch, Snetterton and Oulton Park. Please see the seperate Spa thread for garage prices
NOVICES:
SIDC members wanting to do their first trackday can take advantage of the Novice rate of £109. This lower rate does not mean you have any less tracktime, but does include all the following:
- an additional more in-depth briefing
- scheduled 30 minute session (approx) with an SIDC instructor in the morning
- feedback card so you can monitor your progress throughout the day
BOOKINGS:
Places are on a first come first served basis and can be purchased through the SIDC Online Store THESE DATES ARE BEING ADDED TO OUR SHOP IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS
