The Motorsport Event & Track day not to be missed at the Castle Combe Circuit near Chippenham, Wiltshire on Saturday 14th July 2001.

YES the event is organised by the Bristol & Swindon RS Owners and NO its not just for RS members. The day is open to all makes of car and over the last five years we have booked almost everything. Makes for a far more interesting day for all concerned.

From feed back I received after the Rally and Super car day at Combe organised by the Lancer Club it appeared that you Scooby boys thought that the day was exclusive to RS Owners. So this posting is to set the record straight. If you want to attend one of the best track day events around get in touch NOW - Track space is filling up FAST- £75.00 gets you a full days track action and with only 12 cars on track at any one time, all cars scrutineered and drivers briefed at least you can feel reasonably sure of returning to the paddock with your pride and joy intact. Call the Hot Line 01454 854366 and leave your details, a booking form will be sent out to you straight away. We can also sort you out a club stand if you want it, just let us know.

Every year we award a trophy for best prepared/driven and fastest track car of the day.Lots of non Ford cars have won this trophy. The burning question is - Is the Scooby quicker round the track than the Cossie? - Why not come and find out.

 

So you'll actually be timing, and therefore encouraging racing at this event?
I don't have fond memories at Castle Combe though!

No official timing allowed and we would definitely not encourage anybody to race in a road car, all that glass, no roll cage, no five point harness or race licence not to be recommended. Bit of rivalry doesn't hurt though.
