Stef,

What's the story re snow at Croft, assuming there is or will be lying snow there soon, when do you make a decision about the track day?

Is it made Thursday evening or Friday am?
Do you then ring everyone or what?

cheers,

Greg

Greg.
I have been in discusson with Croft today, and there is currently (or wasn't) any snow there, though it was expected.
They will call meon Thursday when they should know either way whether the event will proceed. If not, I will post here, mail and call everyone I can.
I hope those I don't reach will have the sense to call the circuit, as the weather is well publicised on the news.

Sorry Guys,

The snow has not missed Croft . It's coming down right now but not too hard. I hope it clears up for Friday as I've taken the day of work to come and watch . When or if it thaws out, I'll repost.

Cheers,

Mark

Greg

Can you keep us up-dated.

If there's much snow on the ground at 5pm, I doubt it will melt for Friday. Especially as temps are meant to plummet Thursday night.

Circuits don't have de-icing/gritting facilities, so we need a big hike in temperature if this is going to happen.

Bearing in mind Leeds isn't really that close to Croft, Mark sounds like he is a lot closer than me!

Good news is it's stopped snowing and the sun is out. Bad news is there's alot of snow around, but the roads are clearing quickly with traffic on them. Temps are above freezing at the moment (+3).

If the snow could get cleared from Croft, then the sun would get onto the black tarmac and help alot, but as Pete said, they don't grit or clear

Perhaps they should let us all go on over the next few days to drive slowly, in order to clear the snow

It is looking unlikely this event will be going ahead.
I will amend my answerphone message on 07932 317933 to let everyone know later this afternoon. Please call after 5pm.
I will also post on here to confirm.
Regards.

Stef.
