Default Driver training 14th Jan 06

Same format as other events I have run and experianced by many of SN and SIDC Forum. A day on track at Bruntingthorpe on the 2 mile indy or sprint circuit with top instructors and some cones to play with. Lots of space to enjoy losing control etc in your own car.

Instructors will cater for what you want to learn, all you need is a sense of humour. Suitable for novice and experianced drivers, all types of car welcome. (Drive by 97db)

Happy to cook the BBQ again. See you on the Black stuff on the 14th Jan 06

Ok most saturdays are free Jan and Feb just need to confirm when the instructors are available. Aiming for either Saturday 14th or 28th Jan
let me know if those dates are OK.

Cost will go up slighty to enable three cars to run at a time i.e two with instructor one practicing.

Please note all cars must meet the 97.5 db static noise limit

Thanks for payments, will get some instructions out very soon for Saturday with directions.

Meanwhile will dig out the BBQ. Big tip dont worry about loud shirts and shorts its looking a bit cold for Saturday.

Dont forget to add at least 4 PSI to all tyres

Have mailed you if I have your details if not

Firstly thanks for your payments earlier this week and last week.

This mail will provide you with more information for saturdays fun

Drivers
Good mix of driving ability and cars

Barry MR2 Also drives a P1 (Mad man)
Terry RA Out to find the limits of his new purchase
Shaun WRX
Martin WRX Back for more after novembers event
Craig WRX
Martin Z3 Rear wheel drive will be a lot of fun
Andy Turbo
Simon Turbo
Jo WRX
Chris Supra Rear wheel drive will be a lot of fun
Monkeh Turbo
John Turbo Mr Triton Motorsport will bring a deck chair

Helmets are optional. I would suggest that if you have a soft top that you wear a helmet. Drivers or passengers under
18 must wear a helmet. I will bring two helmets up for drivers to borrow. (1 x L and 1 x S)

All drivers/passengers will be required to sign a disclaimer form

No passengers must travel in the rear of the car during driving exercises

Please bring drink and snacks for the day.

The briefing will start at 8.40 if you are running late please call me on 07789 938011 on arrival at the proving ground.

Post briefing cars will transit the proving ground together to a track hard standing area.

Have attached a write up from last years driver training events for your interest

Support
Instructors will be Mike Wilds and Antony Wilds both have different methods of getting you to do things you wouldn’t normally do 
I will be running the day with the support of Hugh. I will be cooking the BBQ during the day to keep warm.

Weather
Mild for Jan i.e. 10c forecast is dry until Friday and Saturday when showers are forecasted, Please dress accordingly.

Cars
All cars must be able to pass a 97db Static noise test at ¾ throttle. Will test your car should we think it is border line. It
Is the driver’s responsibility to ensure his or her car meet’s the circuit noise criteria? I regret you will not get a refund if your car is
pulled for being too loud.

I recommend you increase tyre pressures all round by 4 PSI cold. Remember that your tyres will need to be legal to get you home,
If you have a spare set bring them. If you have non directional tyres one option is to share wear by rotating the wheels front to rear
and side to side half way through the day. Road tyres are recommended as track tyres will simply increase the grip of the car and
make it harder to get the car out of shape.

Make sure nothing is loose in the car, arrive fuelled for the mornings fun, check that your oil level Is at least half way between the
dip stick markings, ideally half way to maximum is best. If your brakes start to fade slow down let them cool down and then once
you are happy continue, if in doubt progress slowly to the hard standing and to check your brakes.

Directions
Lutterworth, Leicestershire, LE17 5OS, Please see link

http://www.bruntingthorpe.com/images...tingthorpe.pdf

Any questions let me know

See you on Saturday.
