yep the surface is very abrasive, loads of run off though.
You can get things quite sideways in relative saftey.

Chris do you have any tyre fitting services at the elvington trackdays?

Dan.

i dont have anything to do with the trackdays up there, BAT or Javellin run these, but BAT have a tyre van and fitting for common sizes, and also some mechanical work is available if people need it. (altho the cheeky buggers wanted £5 off me when i needed a loan a hacksaw for 5 mins once! ) lol!

the surface is very abrasive, so if the car is understeering dont keep pushing it hard thro the bends as you will rip the shoulder off the tyre in no time, making it illegal while the centre tread is still ok.
lots of fun, cones dont hurt too much, but beware of going off sideways into the grass sections as someone has already rolled a car at a BAT day doing this.

Great day Never done Elvington before. A load of run off meant you could give the car a little bit more and not worry about it to much. And no armco to worry about.

Chris, saw the mx5 enjoying the rear wheel drive on a few occassions

I knew it was you on the motorway on the way back - I spotted the yellow glow of your wrist band

hi!
yes we had a great day, lots of drifts, a few spins each, no harm done tho. 4 new tyres needed, but they were on their way out anyway! ;-)

we are on the one in may @ elvington again, if you are there come over for a passenger ride if you wish. did you see the cerbera, that was quick?

very unusual to see a tvr going so well and for so long at a trackday, nice car. we also do the donnington evening events with BAT in summer, for £125 open pitlane its a great way to pass a nice summer evening!

you can book now on any of the BAT events, look at;
www.bookatrack.com

well worth sticking your name down now for any you fancy, they all usually fill up, you'll need to pre pay well in advance tho for the popular ones like donnington etc, 7th june i think is the evening one we are in, plus the next elvington one in may
