I have been tasked with organising a trip to the Le Mans 24hrs in June
Before I start trying to do deals with transportation and tickets etc it would be useful if I could have a rough idea of the number of people interested.
The initial plan is to leave the UK on June 15th or 16th and return on June 20th so there's a total of 4 or 5 days camping.
Other options are available (stopping in a motel nearer Calais on Sunday night to allow for some shopping on Monday)

Cost depends on number of people etc, but initially looks like being £140 for ferries & accommodation plus £40 per person for race ticket

We've been booked for a couple of months now. My advice would be toi get things moving sooner rather than later or you may struggle to get tickets/camping/crossings etc.

Last yr was my best trip yet, you won't regret it.

Following messages, I've looked at the feasibility of changing the dates of travel and have come up with the following:

Travel Out Friday 17th June Dover - Calais 8.15am crossing

Travel Back Monday 20th June - Calais - Dover 7.40am crossing

The times of these crossings can change, but as long as we don't spend more than 72hrs away, the fare is only £70 return
Camping costs are approx £40 each and race tickets are about the same.

I need to book this trip by the end of this week (4th Feb 2005) so please confirm names below
