Default Track day at Bruntingthorpe.

Hi Guys, basically, im in the middle of organising a track day and should be able to sort a decent price for a track day at Bruntingthorpe Airfield and Proving Ground through a couple of guys i work with.

"A diagram of the circuit is shown below - we will be using all areas of the circuit but will use the largest loop which means a lap of 6.75km incorporating the straight section which is over 3.22km (2 miles) long! For interest, of the 17 International Grand Prix circuits around the world, the only circuits with a longer lap distance are Spa Francorchamps and Hockenheim."

The day will last circa 9-5 with 5* hotel lunch included for around £250 (TBC) a car. (guests are welcome but nonpaying guests can not be catered for at lunch time). The propsal is to section off a section of the track (specifics TBC) where people can practice everything and anything from 1/4mile times, drifting, 0-60times etc. and to also have the track running as well.

Depending on numbers interested, i'll see what sort of price i can manage to negotiate... obviously the more people we get the cheaper it is.

If anyone is interested, please list your name below along with which season is prefered (i dont think we will manage anything before 2005 anyways). If you could add your name into a list below along which when you would prefer to have this run.... if we split it into say Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sep and Oct-Dec. Which ever gets the majority vote, will be used to narrow down into which month and eventually day to run this on.

Naturally if you have somebody outside the Scoobynet scene who may be interested, please include them too!we currently have a handful of Impreza P1 owners with listed interest as well as a few M3s and M5s and also a Supercharged Lotus Elise!

If we dont get enough interest to book the track out exclusively, then the guys im liasing with say they will try to arrange a joint booking affair with a few of their Ferrari/ Porsche/ Lambo regular track dayers. This could be the Ultimate test for many of your modified Scoobies out there!

Thanks for looking. and hopefully see you there!

I dont mean to put a damper on your idea but you can sign up for a track day at airfields (including the one above) for £99 a day. I know this does not include a 5* hotel accom but hey, its no where near £250!

i realise this. the price is slowly coming down towards the £150 mark.

also, this track day is to totally bespoke to how you guys want it, as supposed to set procedure where total time on track is rather limited to a few laps.

the amount of interest is slowly rising (although i havent updated the list) and with more interest comes more bargining power...

Brunters is ok but not the best track around. A bit bumpy in places too I find.
