The future of the nationally renowned Oulton Park motorsport circuit in Cheshire is uncertain after its owners confirmed it is up for sale.

Little more than a month after a major new investment programme began, American company The Interpublic Group, which owns Oulton Park announced it is looking for ’exit strategies’ from its loss-making motor racing interest.

All 4 UK circuits of Octogon (the motorsports division of the American PLC company) are up for sale unfortunately/fortunately, Oulton, Brands, Cadwell and Snetterton.

Ł15m should buy Oulton

They have said that all comittments both to the 2003/4 calender and to further on site improvements will go ahead as planned and budgeted for....

Bernie Eccleston (F1 supremo and billionaire) has made noises with regards to possibly taking ove some or all of the circuits including the rights to stage the F1 G.P. @ Silverstone.

id love to make it this weekend but im on my mates stag doo in nottingham, paintballing and beer.....ow and probably some lappo club if there is any!!!

Hope to do Oulton in the next few months.
