Note sure where to post this but this looks like the best shot..
done a search for lids and not really come up with what I am looking for, so...
What lid should I go for, as trackday season is now fast approaching.
went into Dave Parry Motorcycles in Chelt to ask and have a quick look,
the poser in me tells me to get something with a good paint job,
the racer in me tells me to get an open face one (for good vision)
personally i think open face looks gay.
and my neck tells me to get something light.
couldn't give a toss about price (within reason)
any favourites!!??
Mr Parry suggested shoei as the best to go for.
Your thoughts and mumblings below please
Oh and he said BS mark is now obsolete
only stickers on the helmets he showed me were gold "motorcycle racing approved" ones..
Thanks
Andy

I'd be tempted to go for an open face one, I use my bike helmet and it's such a pain in the **** when you're trying to talk to someone
Having said that, visibility etc is fine out of it, though it does look gay without the visor
Haven't been much use have I!

Take a look at the Sparco range, Light, full face, and you can get variuos pre painted colour scheme's for a few quid more, + they have a fire proof liner and are suitable for proper motorsport.
They are very popular with those of us that do competative motorsport, and offer good quality at a fair price.
Take a look on Grand prix racewear's web site.
