Salsa, you are taking the ****, right ??
Out of 2500 members plus all the people on scoobynet that aren't members we've had about 25 track time replies.
I appreciate you plus the other 24 want to go, however IT IS A HARD FACT that unless we receive the interest we are hardly going to purchase track time at a loss ARE WE ???
As for "an other club that does want to attend!" well perhaps you should be emailing other members asking them why THEY do not want to attend.
"very poor show on SIDC's side!!" - yeah right. Get your head out of the sand please.
Sometimes comments like this are just unbelievable. Do you think we have a faffing magic wand that makes people want to attend track days ???? For gods sake get real. If there is faff all interest in scoobyland then there is faff all interest.
I watch Lisa bust a gut day after day doing membership, replying to countless emails and this is the kind of thanks we get.
THANKS A MILLION MATE !!

I'm sure Salsa King didn't mean anything personal
I think he is frustrated that despite his requests for SIDC details it was a last minute thing which has obviousley not had the pickup we hoped depite lisa,Johns and your efforts
I think the SIDC needs to highlight the events it intends to support perhaps even agree them at the AGM
This will enable other clubs/individuals to arrange events in good time
Don't be disheartened I appreciate its an impossible thankless task

Hiya
The reason its a last minute thing is that interest in track related activities is diminishing fast. Certainly insurance is a big factor imho - it is just as possible (in fact even more probable) to stuff your car on a 15 min session as it is an all-dayer, so taking out £100+ of insurance plus the £30 session fee does make for an expensive 15 minutes of fun.
There is a fair bit more interest in actually going though, quite a few are after tickets and parking in a stand area. So even if the track sessions do not go ahead the SIDC will be "putting in the time" :-)
