Gonna be dropping my blobeye wagon soon, 30mm probs, apparently if you use saloon springs you can end up with a saggy ****, anyone know if this is true or just down to using crappy springs?
Also, anyone know of any decent wagon specific springs?

I sold some prodrive saloon springs on eBay and a wagon driver picked them up... so I guess as far as he was concerned, they work fine!

They have a different spring load for wagons so you need to buy specific one, order on the gd code whatever the wagon is I can't remember.
Although you may not notice tbh if you bought saloon, if buying new then get right ones IMO.

Yeah it's confusing, specially cos mines a blob but registered 56 plate, I generally search for 05 parts tho cos it's 10th vin number is 5. All the springs seem to say fit both gd/gig or wagon and saloon, maybe they've got better at making them compatable. I know the prodrive springs didn't have the issue on wagons but I can never find any for sale

Don't you have to specify which type of vehicle you have at checkout maybe? Just phone and double check. Can't remember where I bought mine from tbh, was a while ago but may have been same option.
Tbh I think it maybe more the shocks are pecific than springs? Confusing lol

Yeah I expect the wagons must have different shocks due to the added weight of the tailgate and extra windows/but of roof. I guess it's one of those things where you try it and see. One persons saggy might be different from another, I bet compared to a saloon any wagon won't be as tight. Any makes you can recommend?
I've seen a wagon on tein s-techs that looks how I want mine to be, but I'm open to suggestions

Can't remember, what ever eibach pro r I think their called, with jdm sti shocks too (more stiffer than stis) you can see its not sagging at rear.

Was, 215/45/17 rota's.

18 are for show, 17s are for go. 17s drive and handle so much better IMO.

That's the dilemma I'm in ATM, the sensible driving/mechanic side of me tells me to get 17's, ie better handling and ride, but there's a (large) part of my brain that thinks the solution to all the worlds problems is the bigger the better, I like to call it my clarkson cortex

I think I'm just worried I'll end up with the same cavernous arch gaps I'm blessed with at the moment , which is probably totally irrational

Saying that all the rims I like are only in 17, must be a sign

Arch gaps will be the same as you run different profile tyres depending on wheel size, I.e 17s are 45 and 18s will be 40 so same overall size, but the thinner the tyre the ****ter the ride and bigger wheels = willowy ride.
Your choice mate, there's loads of folk run 18s, but not for me.

I've just seen a pic of a silver wagon running a set of one of the 17s I've been looking at and it looks tidy, so I'm not so shy to the idea now, and yeah tell me about it, I had a mk1 Clio and I stuck it on 15s with rubber bands and it was like driving a brick over the bumps

That's what I have now, Clio rs 172 for fun, took the 16 stock rims off and replaced with some lightweight rota's along with supporting mods, Miles better drive,

Hi there

Something like Wagon specific shocks or coilovers/springs doesn't exist,usually saloon springs fit nicely or you can go route with specific Swift springs(those you can buy in USA,in UK they're not available)

We are run only 18" and must admit,we are loving them,yes we are run 17",but in size what you probably will be not running(255/40 ZR17 with 9X17" ET20)

Depends on tyres and wheel size you are intending to run,but if you will go with wide tyres I would strongly suggest wait and buy rather coilovers
