Hi folks quiet new to the scene had my sti for three months and now getting a knocking sound from rear suspension when starting and stopping.. I understand this is common fault? And can be solved by re greasing ? Or am i miles off here ? Some local help would be appreciated

You will need to investigate the reason for the knock first.
It could be the damper need greasing, or the damper had failed.

The rear of the WRX do act as an amplifier for noise, so it will make any small noise sound worst that what it really is.
But have a garage look at it first because it might not be the damper at all.
