Knock Knock
Had HKS lowering springs fitted to get a better "stance" Classic 2000 but now she knocks like mad from the front some say possible top mounts but they seem fine , it had no knocks before fitting got car on ramps at local garage for a look and notice that the coils of the springs touch each other at the top of the strut
Question is is the coils touching normal or is this the cause of the knocking ? pic not great as car back on the road now but u get the idea
thanks in advance for any help

Yes it is normal, spring chatter can happen in some brands of lowering spring, rest assured hks werent made with uk roads in mind. You can sheath the coils top and bottom and that help quieten them down. Also, im assuming whoever fitted your springs seated the springs correctly in their cups
