Worth uprating sti springs on old struts?
I'm currently thinking about freshening up a few handling parts on my uk 02 bugeye sti and am going to pick up a rear ARB and possibly a front as well. I could do with getting the wheel alignment done too and am toying with the idea of swapping my standard springs out at the same time for prodrives/eibachs.
The car is obviously 10 years old now, has covered 93k and I am pretty sure it is on its original struts - however, they seem to be in great shape with no knocking or funny noises and it all feels impressively tight for its age tbh
Am I asking for trouble swapping over the springs, is likely to upset the aging struts? Also for people who have done similar, was it worth it? Do prodrive/eibach springs make for a better setup than standard sti springs?
cheers
