Anti Lift Kit
#1
Hi all,
anyone had any experience with anti lift kits ?
Handling, ride quality...
I'm not getting enough feedback through the steering
wheel, for my taste. Could this be a reasonable mod ?

I was very happy with it, turn in and loaded steering feel/feedback is far, far better. Downside seems to be NVH and the straight ahead steering feeling of an old 911 (is that bad? ). However, your geometry/suspension set-up will play a big part - I'm running -1.5 degrees camber (all round) and 1mm toe-in per side (at front) currently on Eibach springs (~25mm lower?) and Koni adjustables.

edited to add I'm also on 225 17" Falkens...I guess this also plays a part

DPJef:
The ALK adds around 1/2 deg of caster. This makes the steering slightly heavier and gives greatly improved feed back.
If you want any more info drop me a mail.

Thanks for the input so far, guys.
It's actually for a MY01 Impreza Sport (what, no turbo!?)
Getting Eibachs fitted soon (with orig. schocks), will evaluate after that.

I'd agree with Richard - on the MY01 WRX it made a great improvement in steering feel and communication. If you feel that the increase in NVH is too much, Whiteline now do a "comfort" bush option that trades some of the benefits for a reported big improvement in the NVH.
