Default Whats this Part and Whats it For?

Hi

I was fitting my rear mud guards today and when removing the rear wheel on the driver side I was greeted by this little broken part! It looks like its been broke for a while and rhe previous owner (or garage I bought it from) have just tried to zip tie it out the way.

Can anyone tell me what this is for? And what its called (or part number for it)?

Just a guess but i was wondering if its something to do with the self levelling for the xenons (as my old astra VXR had a similar one)

Thanks

Dave

It clearly measures ride height, so could well be for self levelling HIDs? Which model is your car?
