Got myself a set of tein coilovers. Two of the top plates on the rear need changing with my own due to damage but other than that how easy is it to fit myself? Been qouted 200 by a garage to have them fitted but I could put that money towards arbs so if anyone has a how to guide it would be greatlt appreciated

Dead easy to do as long as the bolts ar'nt too corroded give them a good squirt of wd40 or similar a few days befor dont get any on your disc's though. if they still wont shift a bit of heat will do wonders just be very careful as the brake pipes are quite close to the bolts, fitted my Tein system myself and i'm only a basic auto diy'er then just went to a reputable tyre retailer (Chemix Stourbridge) to have it all aligned properly. I also found hexagon sockets were better than your normal one's as they grip the bolts better.

Those videos are brilliant. Much easier than I thought. I'll tackle them next time I have a clear day. Is the top plate easy to change? Do I need any special tools to do that bit of it?

Which Tein's did you get. Ideally don't use an airgun to undo the top nut if they are adjustables as this will mess the settings. Go onto Tein's website and down load the instructions for the coil overs so you can reset the pre-load. You will also need to C spanners to wind down the bottom spring platform and locking nut to relieve pressure on the springs.
