Default Help with hks coilovers please

I bought a set of hks hiper d coilovers recently. They came without topmounts so could I use my standard ones from my sti shocks or would I know need to source topmounts for them?

There main purpose is gonna be sprints etc

Any help greatly appreciated

Hi there

I'm not sure, but usually on the Cusco or HKS you will need to use Pillowball, maybe someone to confirm you can use the standard top mounts, with standard top mounts you will loose camber adjustability

Thanks for the reply Jura. Yes i know I could lose certain features without the topmounts but may have no other option! Search for days online without success finding replacements...

Hi there

As I said you will need Pillowball Top mounts, you can have look for Tein,K-Sport,WhiteLine,Cusco,Turn In Concept,KW, Vorshlag and other maker

HKS Top Mounts alone cost around 585USD and K-Sport cost 285USD,Tein cost around £180 for front and rear around £240

Speak here to the Apex Performance or Alyn@AS Performance about the options

Those Tein are used mostly on the HKS HiperD what I've read

This price from Eightspeed is slightly pricey, speak to the Camskill they're selling them cheaper

Default Impreza p1 suspension

Hello everybody !! Ive just bought a type r 1997 three days ago, this is my third scoob. first was a 01 sti second was a 06 wrx , and now i have finally become a member of scoobynet, dont know why it took so long
Ok so ive now got a p reg type r , 2.1 stroker kit fitted , front mount etc pushing out 380 bhp, it has hks coilovers which are way too hard for my licking, they are solid even on the softest setting ! So my question is does anybody know of anywhere that sells brand new p1 type suspension that is the red dampers and red springs ? so ive read that these are the best suspension for the classic for a good balance between comfort and performance. If anybody knows where i can get hold of a new set of these that would be great !

Hi there

I would have look for Bilstein which are good(in many people view much better) and many people rate them highly

Something like those

Hi there

Yes they're for RB320,if you want them fit on classic you will need classic top mounts at rear, front should be OK like from new age or classic

But would suggest have look for Bilstein Prodrive WR or KYB AGX which seems working well too on classic
