What my mate Dan is hinting up is that you pays your money and takes your choice!
The more basic setup would be to go for something like Eibach springs with the antilift kit and bumpsteer mod. Speak to Powerstation about this. They are generally acknowledged as the experts.
If you speak to Mutant Matt or IanW (who has just bought Matt's car, they will tell you how good this is). It will vastly improve the handling of your car. The ride will be firmer, but not uncomfortable. Cost wise I reckon £600 would cover everything, including fitting, geometry and alignment settings (Powerstaion could do the lot).
If you have a bigger budget, then look at Leda - speak to Scoobysport. Sal's Dad's new MY00 Scoob has this fitted and it is amazing. Bodyroll is virtually eliminated and handling is a dream. Despite what people might tell you, the best way to make your car go faster is sort out the suspension and brakes - not necessarily engine modifications. Cost wise, I reckon you would be looking at around £1500
Hope this helps
Chris
Edited to say, given your position in the country, you could also have a chat with TSL who should be able to help you. - Chris

Low cost, I would go Bump Steer Mod + Eibachs + Anti-Lift Kit (funny that ) or higher cost, I would go the new Billies.
Make sure you get the Geometry sorted properly, whichever route you go....

I just fitted STI suspension and it's just what I was looking for. Really nice and firm, but not harsh. Also, I didn't want to lower the car too much because for the spoiler risk to kerbs and the STI only takes it down by 10mm or so.
Put a wanted ad out and expect to pay 150 to 200 notes for very low mileage units.
Fitting is not too hard if you have spring compressors, but the rear top mounts are a pain to access as you have to take the rear seats out to get to them!
Allow a day to do the work and make sure you allign the top mounts right before tightening.
Then invest 70 quid or so in a full suspension setup from a place that knows scoobys and can tailor the settings to your requirements.
Then enjoy!

Hello Matey!
"got blown away the other saturday by a scoob with slight modded suspension"......wasnt me was it on my Eibachs LOL
Local road Knowledge played a big part methinks!
i think Eibachs and a good geomerty set up is good value for money! unless you want to do trackdays then go for something more upto the job!
ill just amble round the track on mi Eibachs!

Can anybody give me some advice on which suspension to fit to an MY97 Scoob. I understand that geometry and bumpsteer mods are a must. Any advice would be greatfully received.
Got blown away on Sat by a Scoob with modded handling as soon as we went round the first bend!
Can you recomend some where in the North West?
