Default why is there no one repairing coilovers?

i have a set of tein flex coilovers on my v6 and the passenger rear is knocking, suprise suprise, looking around everywere, and the only people i can find that are willing to repair/overhaul the strut it tein uk,
after getting off the phone to tein, they need the strut for a minimum of 3 weeks and minimum cost of £300.00!!! for one!

surely there has to be some guy some were in a garage good at doing this? hell i might teach myself how and make a killing repairing coilovers!

is it that much of a specialist job that only tein can do it?

It is not so much the technical side, more the parts. I have serviced a couple of Teins but it turned out to be quite a challenge.
Tein will not sell seals or parts to anyone outside Tein and as the main seal was three seals in one, manufactured for Tein, finding a suitable alternative was impossible.
The only thing I could do was have parts machined to convert the seal head to use off the shelf seals.
If you needed parts other than seals you would have to have them made which could be expensive.
