Raising ride height -options?
I'm thinking about raising the ride height on my classic Turbowagon.
I spend quite a bit of time going down dirt tracks with large rocks and am concerned about sumping my scoob...
What options do I have for raising the ride height?
Would consider all options - can anybody recommend something?
Cheers

This would be the cheapest way to get a bit ride height:

You could look into rally coilovers. Not coilovers designed for tarmac as they are very short travel and will be very bad for your roads.
You could also look into running a larger diameter tire, say a 60 series tire and that would give you some ground clearance and more sidewall for rough passages.

Not one I've done myself, but you can raise the standard spring pan with some cutting and welding. Remove insert and bush, carefully thin disc OE spring pan welds, reposition pan 20mm higher, re-weld, fit new slider bushes, refit inserts. Not something I'd generally reccomend doing but the cars have an absolute pounding on welsh road rallies and have never failed!
