BC coil overs, any good? Any alternatives?
I've been out ofnthe Subaru scene for a while, so I'm Trying to catch up on what's good and what's not.
Anyone have anybexperience with the BC coil overs, I was also looking at D2, also are they any good?
Any recommendations would be great with some links for prices etc.

Also, why not just try coil overs first, you might not need/want the Whiteline stuff after fitting them! Could save yourself some dough!
Best to make one change at a time so you can appreciate what you want to achieve and what's doing what, so to speak!

The reason I was grabbing some white line gear is due to a deal I was being offered, I managed to source some nearly new ones elsewhere now for half the price. So I'll just be sticking Wi the coils for now.

Please butt in if im off track here, but my understanding is this.
The older BC's were solid top mounts which were/are a little noisey, well my certainly are. But that said its all with toleration otherwise they would have been swapped out. The new BC's went to rubber top mounts, to eliminate some noise. I'm not sure how well that worked, but in terms of actually driving the car with BC coilovers, it's drive sweet. Obviously 4 wheel alignment is advisable afterwards with some decent geometry setup to get the best out of your setup. I'm on BC with some RCM and white line goodies, seems to make a nice combo.

They are in the world of coilovers...Maybe you should venture outside SN Steve and see what other car forums have to say about them..
A friend of mine fitted some BR series to his EVO6 and it was only a matter of weeks before they started to knock. The RM series i had on my bug lasted about a year before the o/s front started to slop about inside the housing..
If your happy with them Steve then fairplay...

Like already said, there's always the odd one...
Usually it's a case of making sure the units are balanced (preload and damping settings and tightening up properly before fitting. It's the loose top nut that is often the culprit.
I stripped mine, put plenty of coppaslip on to prevent any dirt causing binding then tightened up properly torquing the top nut.
(Bought a set of swan neck spanners especially.)
Never a murmer out of mine and adjusted fine after a few months when I had a play to.
Mine are the ER model, and I'm lovin' it right now!

Just having a nightmare with BC coilovers fitted to my P1, they are abiut 3 years old but only covered 7,000 miles, one started leaking badly (n/s/r), the insert cost me over £100 as they do not do a repair service, but the factory does not put copper grease on when assembling so after 3 days and 3 mechanics trying I have now got to buy the lower section £40 and locking nuts £6-£8 each. I have been told by supplier the BC factory are aware of this problem but refused to do anything about it... great.
So if you buy it is worth taking apart and using copper slip, something the factory don't bother doing.

Racing logics is a better olternative to bc IMO for a similar price, they absorb better and preform well with a good dampness for road and track. Set them to firm and they are still good on the road.
Not many people use them on subarus as there is too many bc fans on here, but be dare to be different.
Miester r are a good coilovers in the Mazda and Honda world, preform well on road and track but IMO the gaz gold have the edge on track in that Mazda and Honda world. Never heard anyone using on subarus, but that should change soon me thinks.
Jerrick you need to give free trails coilovers to some Subaru guys for honest feedback to get them out there over here.

The point I am trying to make here is that BC coilovers are being assembled with no concern for the buyer having known problems when a strut leaks, they are fully aware they seize and this makes it impossible to fit an insert, so cost to rectify one faulty damper is expensive compared to the alternatives on the market.
The supplier I am getting the BC parts from even said they were told by BC factory it was only UK market that experienced the problems of the parts seizing together... what utter BS.

I have just removed a set of racing logics and put BC on the car after 3 of the logics dampers failed. The logics were better on track but uncomfortable on the road when running with 7kg springs on the front and 5kg springs on the back. The BC are running on 6kg front and 5kg on the back, nuch better on the road.

When it comes to suspension, I know everyone have their own preference and I respect that.
All I can do is support our products and do what we can to help customers achieve their goals.
The Zeta-R coilovers are designed for fast road and occasional track days use.
While they are capable track suspensions, the main focus is a compliant handling ride characteristic over the uneven bumpy road surfaces.
They aren't pure track suspensions that will make ride utterly uncomfortable in order to shave a few seconds off the lap time.
I have put up a group buy offer at the moment for Scoobynet owners, so we should see a few review in the near future.
