Default Classic ride heights

I have BCs coilovers not long fitted to my 98 sti type r and wondered what ride heights people had theirs set to and how it feels on the road.
|Also what damper settings are you using front and rear?
Cheers,
James

Don't lower it any more than 24mm, it won't help the handling:

If you do lower it you should get a bump steer kit also.

Thanks

Thanks Sam, that's good information, can I use that as a starting point as mines an sti type r?
I'll also be looking into getting the bump steer kit when I get a bit more cash
Cheers

The STI's are on different springs aren't they, i think they are already about 20mm lower? If so i'm not to sure, i would imagine they have been dropped already and there is no need to lower it any more?

Thanks

Mines very low, and can definately confirm the recommendation for the bump steer kit, saving for one myself now. Will check actual ride height when I get the car off my uneven gravel drive
As for the adjustment settings mine if I remember right is on 9 clicks from stiffest front, 6 clicks from stiffest on the rear; probably a little too stiff if the roads are really bad but most of the time its ideal (for me). Front end is very positive and the rear rotates around nicely, not too much though Im not a drifter

Sam, I'm on bc coilovers now so trying to suss a nice rideheight but not too low.

Chronik, thanks for the reply, I'll give that a go and see how that damper setting is like.

To maintain max handling i would say go 24mm lower than the turbo sedan figures on the diagram above, anything less then you will be reducing handling, not sure how much but it appears from this diagram that they don't recommend any lower.

Someone might be able to correct me but i think the standard STI high is about 20mm lower than that of a wrx or a UK Turbo 2000.

Thanks
